Steam
How Steam sign-in works, what Truck Pulse reads from a Steam account, and what it never sees.
Nothing to set up
Good news: there is nothing for you to set up here. Steam sign-in works for every Hub out of the box — no keys to paste, no settings to save.
Steam is how drivers sign in to Truck Pulse. The Continue with Steam button on the login page sends drivers to Steam's own sign-in page; Steam confirms who they are and sends them straight back.

What Truck Pulse reads from Steam
When a driver signs in with Steam, Truck Pulse receives three things:
- Steam ID — the permanent number that identifies the account. It is what keeps a driver's Truck Pulse account tied to the right person, even if they change their display name.
- Profile name — the public display name, refreshed each time they sign in.
- Avatar — the public profile picture, also refreshed on each sign-in.
That is the whole list. The Steam ID also matters for two other links: it is what TruckersMP verification is checked against, and it is how delivery trackers like Trucky match a delivery to the right driver.
What Truck Pulse never sees
Steam's sign-in works like showing ID at a door — Steam vouches for the driver without handing anything else over. Truck Pulse never sees:
- The driver's Steam password — the sign-in happens entirely on Steam's website.
- Their email address — Steam does not share it. That is why drivers are offered an optional email step after their first sign-in, so the Hub can still reach them.
- Their game library, inventory, purchases, or friends list.
Linking Steam to an existing account
A driver who first signed up with Discord or email can link Steam later from their profile page: open the Steam card and choose Connect Steam. Linking Steam is also the first step towards verifying a TruckersMP account.

A driver can disconnect Steam from the same card at any time — unless Steam is their only way to sign in, in which case they need to link another sign-in method first. Disconnecting Steam also removes their TruckersMP verification, since that verification is proven against the Steam account.
